This certification provides new and seasoned program directors the knowledge, skills, and competence to lead their clinic to next level of success by increasing revenues, expanding your referral base, and tighten operations.
This intense course is a hyrid of on-demand/online learning + a live-vritual (livestream) workshop.
Certificate Candidates will complete the following learning modules:
- Business of Wound Care and HBO 2-day live-virtual (livestream) workshop (16 CME/CEU hours)
- Indications and Contraindications for the Use Of HBO2 (online/on-demand course)
- Overview of the Role of Hyperbaric Safety Director (online/on-demand course)
- Certification Exam (online)
The 2-day workshop is a live-virtual (livestream) event taught by expert faculty, Michael White, MD, UHMS, MMM, CWS; and Gretchen Dixon, MBA, RN, CCS. The livestream workshop is held multiple times per year.
Certificate Candidates must attend the livestream workshop + complete all online/on-demand learning modules within 6 months of enrolling in the certification pathway.
The goals and objectives of this certification pathway are to:
- Provide a comprehensive, in-depth certification pathway addressing the key fundamental knowledge, skills, and competencies which will assist the candidate in managing a hyperbaric and/or wound care center effectively.
- Provide new or experienced program directors with a stronger skill set, more credibility, and greater effectiveness as a program director, no matter your background.
- Provide the Candidate with an interactive, safe learning environment during the 2-day live-virtual workshop to uncover the weaknesses, gaps, and inefficiencies that are holding your clinic back from success, and receive real-time mentorship from expert faculty, and peers.
Upon completion of the required learning modules, Candidates will be able to should be able to:
- Market an HBO/wound care program effectively with little or no budget in order to connect patients with the care they need.
- Understand who are the potential referral physicians/referral sources, and learn how to connect with them.
- Overcome difficulties in connecting HBO candidates with necessary care in an HBO/wound care clinic.
- Understand ICD-10-CM billing and coding for wound care/HBO with the goal of improved coding accuracy.
- Lead efficient clinic operations in order to support long-term program success.

Wound Care Education Partners is a Florida based company and a licensed CE Provider through the Florida State Board of Nursing and the CE is reciprocal for nurses in the United States. Florida nursing credits are reciprocal and approved for nurses within all states. Receiving credit for Florida providers is simple, complete the course and our staff will upload your credits directly to the Florida State database. For out of state credit, we provide the necessary paperwork for you to file with the respective nursing board.
