The Hyperbaric Certification Commission ensures the quality and integrity of HCC’s certification programs by developing and establishing program curriculum, content, certification and recertification requirements, and examination materials.

The Hyperbaric Certification Commission (HCC) ensures that the certification pathways remain open, fair and impartial; retain integrity; and implement the mission of HCC by certifying that successful candidates have met the minimum standards outlined in their respective certification pathway.

The HCC reflects the spectrum of expertise in hyperbaric and wound care clinical practice, clinic management, and facility safety, including all levels of hospital-based and freestanding centers, private and government sector programs, and remote operations.

Hyperbaric Certification Commission (HCC) is the certification arm of WCH Media Group, Inc, founded in 2017; under the same media group umbrella is Best Publishing Company, a 50 + year old publishing house; and Wound Care Education Partners, a medical education company founded in 2008.

Why Choose Our Wound Care Certification Training?

This course is a hybrid of online learning + 1-day live classroom session to maximize student learning and minimize travel expenses. Nurses and physicians who take our wound care certification prep course should find themselves overprepared to sit for a wound certification exam.

The training package includes: a 15-credit hour study guide-based online pre-course; the study guide ebook and print book version (a $114 value); a 10.5-hour workshop (either livestream or in person) with a hands-on debridement workshop + a debridement packet specially shipped to you; a certificate of course completion. Students also receive a repeatable certification practice exam to prepare for the actual certification exam through the certifying organization of your choice.

The National Alliance of Wound Care (NAWCO) has determined that the program content covers all of the domains that candidates who take the WCC Certification Examination will be tested on. Therefore, program graduates of the WCEP 25.5 hour Wound Care Certification Basic Training And Review course will be considered to have met the educational requirements and be permitted to test for the Wound Care Certified (WCC) certification. You can find our organization, Wound Care Education Partners listed on the NAWCO/NACCB website as a provider that has met the certification committee criteria.

The primary purpose of this wound care course is to educate in all disciplines on core anatomy, wound healing physiology, wound etiology and interventions.

The second purpose of the program is to review the major sanctioned and cutting-edge techniques and alternatives in advanced skin and wound care management principles.

The third purpose is to provide a course designed to prepare the learner for the major wound care certification exams in the marketplace today.

IMPORTANT NOTES: After attending this course you will not be certified in wound care - you will have completed the educational component as is required by many certifying organizations. If you are planning to sit for a wound certification exam please check with your certifying organization of choice prior to taking this or any course, to be sure that you meet their requirements to sit for a certification exam. Each certifying organization has their own criteria, and sometimes those criteria change without notice.
