How to convince your leadership team to send you to Florida next month

Let’s face it . . . with clinic budgets being tight, it can be really hard to request funds to attend a conference.

The registration fee, airfare, hotel, and other expenses start to add up in your leadership team's head before you even submit the travel request.

The absolute WORST thing you can say to try to persuade your leadership team is, “I will get a lot out of it.” Although they have no doubt about the high quality of education and training you will receive, they still have to consider the bottom line.

Recently we've had practitioners reach out asking for tips on convincing their leadership team to attend the upcoming Introduction to Hyperbaric Medicine and Practitioners Conference in North Palm Beach, FL, in February, so we thought we’d share them with you:

1. Travel doesn't have to be expensive!

Hotel: Consider using sites Priceline.com or Hotels.com for a hotel room. Or consider sites like Airbnb to book a private room or to rent someone's house or apartment; this is usually much cheaper than staying in a hotel.

Flight: Use sites like CheapOAir or Travelocity to save on flights to/from PBI (Palm Beach International) airport.

TIP: Price out your travel expenses BEFORE presenting this idea to your leadership team. It will show that you're prepared.

Experience: Recently, we had a student who attended one of our courses in North Palm Beach, FL. We helped her with budgeting and travel. She discovered that it was actually CHEAPER for her to attend the course in Florida than it was for her to drive across her state to attend a "locally" based course.

If you need help or have questions about affordable travel, reach out to either Jaclyn This email address is being protected from spambots. 2. Focused Trainings

We are offering three different CME/CEU programs in February: HBO Updates, Wound Care Review, and Introduction to Hyperbaric Medicine (all details are below). You can pick and choose, and attend only the training that you need, saving time and money.

3. Nationally Accredited

Courses are nationally accredited through the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS), NBDHMT, Florida Board of Nursing (reciprocal credits throughout the U.S.), and/or Wilderness Medical Society (WMS).

Ok, there you have it! Three ways to provide solid information to your leadership team that will help them understand why it is important for you to attend the upcoming CME/CEU courses in North Palm Beach, FL, next month.

Accelerate your career, join us next month in Florida!
