Course Day Preparations

We get a lot of questions from students as to how they can prepare for their attendance at one of our live courses. Read below how to prepare. 

PRECOURSES

For the Introduction to Hyperbaric Medicine course, and the Wound Care Certification Basic Training and Review course, precourses are required prior to atteding the classroom-based program. Safety Director and other classroom-based courses do not have precourses. 

For Introduction to Hyperbaric Medicine: A 1-hour online precourse is available to you upon registration, free of charge. The precourse covers dive tables and physics, two topics that students struggle with most. It is strongly recommended that you do the pre-course prior to the start of the course. 1.0 CME/CEU hour will be available to you upon completion. 

For Wound Care Basic Training and Review: 15 hours online precourse to be completed prior to attending the classroom-based course. For the online precourse please use the textbook that you are provided with this course, titled, Wound Care Certification Study Guide, 2nd Edition. The study guide textbook is a professional published 350-page study guide that includes a post-course exam complete with answers and explanations.

• Go to My Account (top right-hand corner of screen)
• Click on My Courses
• Click on on the name of the precourse ot begin. Either: "Introduction to Hyperbaric Medicine (Online Pre-Course)" or "Wound Care Certification Basic Training and Review (Study Guide Course)"

LOGISTICS

A continental breakfast and light lunch is typically provided at the course for no additional fee.

FINAL EXAM

You will take the final exam online. You have up to one-week post-course to complete the exam. The exam is available in your account once the course concludes on the last day.

• Go to My Account (top right-hand corner of screen)
• Click on My Courses
• Click on the course name to begin.

CERTIFICATE AND CME/CEU LETTER

Your certificate of course completion and CME/CEU letter will be available to you immediately upon your successful completion of the final exam and mandatory course evaluation (both done online).
